Spirituality is at the heart of Catholic education, and here at Holy Name of Jesus, it’s an important part of education at every grade level.
From preschoolers who celebrate Jesus’ birth through a birthday party at Christmas, to second graders who share in their First Reconciliation and Eucharist, to weekly Masses held for all school families, students have the opportunity to grow in their faith through many opportunities:
† Religion classes are taught in kindergarten through sixth grade.
† Regular visits to each classroom by Fr. Bryce Evans during religion curriculum.
† Each classroom takes turns assisting in School Mass on Wednesday mornings, through assisting in readings and the Prayer of the Faithful.
† Preparation for and celebration of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in second grade.
† Advent and Lenten prayer services alongside weekly liturgies.
The service we offer to our community is also an important component of our faith. To show our love for our neighbors and willingness to serve those in need, each grade participates in one or more service projects. Click on the link below to view our service projects.
