Spirituality is at the heart of Catholic education, and here at Holy Name of Jesus School, it’s an important part of education at every grade level.
From preschoolers who celebrate Jesus’ birth through a birthday party at Christmas, to second graders who share in their First Reconciliation and First Communion, to weekly Masses held for all school families, students grow in their faith through many opportunities:
† Prayer is an important part of every school day.
† Religion classes are taught in kindergarten through sixth grade.
† Regular visits to each classroom by Fr. Tim Wratkowski during the religion curriculum.
† Each classroom takes turns assisting in School Mass on Wednesday mornings.
† Preparation for and celebration of First Reconciliation and First Communion in second grade.
† Advent and Lenten prayer services alongside weekly liturgies.
The service we offer to our community is also an important component of our faith. Each grade participates in one or more service projects to show our love for our neighbors and willingness to serve those in need.
